Don't tell me crew of a destroyer will rather die in a fight against 10 other destroyers than surrender and be PoW that could be ransomed for money or exchanged for other PoWs. Some way of disabling electrical systems which would disable whole ship or whatever, instead of having to destroy tiny turrets, shields and half of hull.
They will die before they'll consider bailing.īoarding really needs love. Repeat above, but kill them or die as a result, as their turrets will shred you to pieces or you will kill them while trying to disable them. There's no way you could've done something else way profitable in that time, right? You have an almost destroyed and completely disabled ship that you have to drag to some dock (takes a lot of time) and then pay it's value for repairs and only 1 real time hour has passed. They have so much crew, that counting on them to bail even when completely disabled is hopeless.ġ.1.1.1. Now you have to get rid of shields and bring them down to under 50% hull in order to have reasonably long boarding. Yeah, you can scroll through them with Home/End buttons, but that is not a comfortable solution.ġ.1.1. It's also very hard to target turrets as they are very small. There's no option to order your fleet to swarm the enemy with the single goal of disabling turrets.
It's likely their turrets will kill you or you will destroy the target before you get rid of turrets. Now what? If you are S or M, you will have to work pretty hard to avoid turret fire while trying to destroy turrets and disable engines, so you could work in peace.
